Tell me more about your business. How did the business start, and what inspired you to begin this venture?
CSR Nutrition was founded after nearly two decades of working in the food and healthcare industries. What inspired me was seeing how easily individuals—especially in senior living—can fall through the cracks when it comes to proper nutrition. I saw dietitians being sidelined into food service roles, while their clinical training in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) was being overlooked. That gap, that underutilization, was the spark that led to CSR’s mission: to advocate for both residents and dietitians by focusing on evidence-based MNT, system improvement, and continuity of care.
What makes your business stand out in your industry? What actual services are you providing?
What sets us apart is that we’re not a staffing agency. We don’t just place dietitians and disappear. We are deeply involved in procedures, policies, and daily operations. We work hand-in-hand with administrators, regionals, and CEOs to support budget management, compliance, and clinical outcomes.
CSR Nutrition operates across four key departments:
A Training and Oversight Department, where we continuously educate the ID team and help facilities stay survey-ready.
Facility Services in Long-Term Care and Assisted Living Facilities, offering hands-on MNT and clinical oversight.
A Research Division that develops high-quality nutritional formulas free of unnecessary additives.
An Individual Services Division that includes mobile clinics and a private practice. Our private practice offers a multidisciplinary team—psychologists, chiropractors, therapists, yoga instructors, and aesthetic services like Botox—to deliver a more wholesome approach focused on rejuvenation and improving overall quality of life.
Can you describe a moment where your service helped solve a major issue or helped your business grow?
Absolutely. One example was when a facility was struggling with recurring citations related to unaddressed weight loss. After bringing in CSR, we restructured their IDT communication, trained nursing staff, and implemented proper MNT protocols. Within 90 days, their compliance issues were resolved, outcomes improved, and they remained deficiency-free in their next state survey.
Can I apply to be a part of the team or work as a contractor?
Absolutely. You can join CSR Nutrition as a clinical team member and become part of our mission to deliver high-quality Medical Nutrition Therapy. While many companies rely heavily on contractors, we intentionally do not use 1099 contract roles. This allows us to offer greater support, structure, and long-term stability to our team members—including ongoing training, clinical oversight, and collaboration opportunities. Our goal is to build a unified, well-supported team that thrives together.
